Anglian Idol 2009

Welcome to Anglian Idol 2009. The grand finale of the season for the competitons here at Ultimate Karaoke.

As you read this there are competitions going on around the East of England and you can be a part of it.

8 venues are taking part in the Anglian Idol 2009 championship around the East Anglian area. All of the venues hold there own in house competition with prizes for the in house winners and runners up. However, the winner and the two runners-up will be invited through to the final of Anglian Idol 2009 from all the in house competitions.

Anglian Idol 2009 holds a prize fund of a minimum £1000 for the winner, £750 for second and third hold £250. All of the qualifiers will walk away with a trophy and a certificate to commerate there night. The evening will be held at Hopton Holiday Village in the main show-bar and the contestants stand a chance of performing in front of a potential 1200 people on the night.

There will be a photographer on site on the night so photo's of the acts can be bought on the night.

Most importantly, the judging panel at Anglian Idol will consist of industry professional people who are either venue bookers, agents or entertainments managers. We will reveal the full list of judges nearer to the competition however there are representatives from some top agencies all looking to be on hand.

Anglian Idol 2009 is a ticket event with the tickets priced at £10 per head. Anyone can attend the event however the competition is only open to the qualifiers from the different venues. There is nor qualification heats on the night.

The event takes place on Friday 27th November 2009 with a start time of 7.30pm and not only will there be the 24 acts all going for the top prize but there will also be other exhibitions going on, on the night, a live act plus late night disco til 1am.

 TOWN IDOL 2009

Lowestoft Town Football Club joins onto the Ultimate Karaoke competition round with Town Idol 2009. The competition starts in June with the final taking place in August. In each heat, the competitors will sing one song and be judged on Presentation, Vocal Talent and Star Quality.

The winner and runner-up of the heats will qualify through to the final on Wednesday 12th August 2009 where they will be going for the prize of Town Idol 2009 champion and will also go to Rock Lobster Studio’s in Southwold to record for three hours. Also the top three from the final will qualify for the Anglian Idol 2009 Championship final in November.

The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16 years of age and will start at 8pm on the selected Wednesday nights.

MILL IDOL2009

Welcome to Mill Idol 2009, another competition to be added to the Ultimate Karaoke calendar and also a qualification competition for Anglian Idol 2009.  The winner of the final will again go to Rock Lobster Studio's in Southwold to record for three hours plus will gain qualification through to the coveted Anglian Idol competition and the runner-up and third place contestants will also gain qualification through to Anglian Idol 2009.

The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16 years of age and the contestants will compete in one of three qualification heats at The Mill in order to try qualify for the grand final. They will be judged on Presentation, Vocal Talent and Star Quality/Entertainment Factor. The contestants will only need to sing one song in their heat but should they qualify through will need to sing two songs in the final at The Mill.
