Everyone who has took part in this competition has bought something different to the competition and the turnout’s have been something else both from the competitors and the audience. I must also say that the atmosphere has been brilliant every time, so we thank all of you for that.

Many thanks to the judges over the past four heats, Michael, Pat, Viv, Susie, Ben, Fi, Cliff and Keith. Different judges for each heats has made this a lot easier and we wish all the competitors in the final on the 22^nd March 2009 the best of luck. Remember the top three go to Anglian Idol 2009.

The Final

So the main event at the Cobholm Tavern took place on 22^nd March as they hosted the final of Tavern Idol 2009. Out of the 14 qualifiers, 11 returned to do battle for becoming Tavern Idol champion and of course to fight for the three places on offer at Anglian Idol 2009 from this event.

With each act doing two songs in a mini-cabaret style set, it was going to be a long night.
