Caxton Arms – Beccles Idol 2008

From Norwich. When heading from Norwich on the A146, continue heading towards Lowestoft. You will approach a The Stockton Roundabout. Continue straight over, signposted Lowestoft. At the next roundabout, take the second exit, signposted Lowestoft. Approx 400yds on your right you will see a road signposted Gillingham. Turn right. Continue through the village and continue into Beccles. You will go into a one way system. Continue for approx ¼ mile and the pub is at the top of a small hill on your right hand side.

From Southwold, Halesworth on A145. As you come into Beccles, you will go past M & H plastics on your right hand side. Continue for about ½ mile and you will go past the Butchers Arms Public House on your right. You will reach some traffic lights. Continue straight over. At the cross roads, continue down to the traffic lights and go straight over into a one way system. At the junction turn left and then right. You will still be in a one way system. At the crossroads, turn right. You will go into a one way system. Continue for approx ¼ mile and the pub is at the top of a small hill on your right hand side.

Cobholm Tavern – Great Yarmouth

From the South.

Head towards Great Yarmouth on A12. You will go past the James Paget Hospital on your left hand side. Continue to next roundabout and take 2nd exit signposted Great Yarmouth. At next roundabout, take 1st exit towards Great Yarmouth. You will enter a 50mph area for approx 1mile. At the roundabout take 2nd exit and then take the 3rd exit at the next roundabout signposted Southtown. Continue straight over the mini roundabout and continue until you reach a large set of traffic lights. Matalan should be on your right and The Two Bears Hotel on your left. Turn left at the traffic lights signposted Cobholm. Continue through the 20mph area to the roundabout, where you turn left and the pub is on the right hand side.

From the North

From A47 Acle Straight. You will pass Vauxhall Holiday Park on your left. At roundabout take 3rd exit signposted Lowestoft. You will go over the Breydon Bridge and continue to the set of traffic lights. Turn left at these traffic lights & continue straight over the mini roundabout and continue until you reach a large set of traffic lights. Matalan should be on your right and The Two Bears Hotel on your left. Turn left at the traffic lights signposted Cobholm. Continue through the 20mph area to the roundabout, where you turn left and the pub is on the right hand side.

From A149 Caistor Road. Continue forward on the A149 until you reach a roundabout. The White Swan Public House is on you left. Take 3rd exit signposted Norwich. Continue forward until next roundabout where you take the 1st exit. You will go over the Breydon Bridge and continue to the set of traffic lights. Turn left at these traffic lights & continue straight over the mini roundabout and continue until you reach a large set of traffic lights. Matalan should be on your right and The Two Bears Hotel on your left. Turn left at the traffic lights signposted Cobholm. Continue through the 20mph area to the roundabout, where you turn left and the pub is on the right hand side.

Kings Head - Southwold

From the South

Continue on A12 towards Lowestoft & Great Yarmouth. You will go through the village of Blythburgh. Heading into a 40mph area you will ascend a small hill and at the top of the hill turn right on the A1095 towards Southwold & Reydon. Continue forward for approx 3miles where you will enter Reydon. St Felix schools will be on you right. Continue forward and you will go over a small bridge entering Southwold. Go straight over the mini roundabout and the pub is on you right approx 300yrds.

From the North

Heading towards Ipswich on the A12 you will enter the village of Wrentham. In Wrentham, take the turning left signposted Reydon. Continue forward on road for approx 3 miles and you will enter the village of Reydon. At T junction turn left & continue forward and you will go over a small bridge entering Southwold. Go straight over the mini roundabout and the pub is on you right approx 300yrds.

Sea-Breeze Club

The club is situated in Commercial Road, Lowestoft on the North side of the Bascule Bridge. From the South, head towards central Lowestoft on the new Lowestoft relief road. Continue straight through the traffic lights up to the next roundabout, where you take the 2nd exit. Continue to next roundabout and take 2nd exit towards central Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Continue over Bascule Bridge and take the first left into Commercial Road. The club is on the right hand side approx 150 yds.

The Waterside Bar & Restaurant – Corton, Lowestoft

From Great Yarmouth

Head south on the A12 towards Ipswich until you reach the Hopton roundabout. At the roundabout turn left, left again and immediately right. The White Hart Public House should be on your left. Continue on this road trough Hopton village and follow the road round a right hand corner. Continue past Potters Holiday Village and Broadlands Holiday Village for approx 2 miles. You will eventually enter Corton, and the venue is on the left hand side.

From Lowestoft

Continue over the bascule bridge and keep heading north on the A12 signposted Great Yarmouth. At the first set of traffic lights turn right, continue for 400yds to the next roundabout and take the second exit, signposted Great Yarmouth. At the next roundabout take the second exit and then turn left at the next roundabout. You will go past a BP garage on your right and go round a right hand corner. Aprox 200yds on your right is a road which turns right signposted Corton. Turn Right.

Continue for approx 2 miles and you will enter Corton village. Continue through the village and you will find the venue on your right hand side.
